Chalermchat graduated with Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Thammasat University in 1996. He also graduated and held the Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Chulalongkorn University in 2001. Chalermchat worked with Somphob and Associates Law Office for ten years as the senior corporate lawyer and supervisor in corporate department before he decided to start his own legal practice.
